Centre of Excellence (COE)
The Centre of Excellence aims at promoting excellence in education through special coaching sessions for students who feel the need to strengthen their skills in select subjects and areas of specialization.
VPP started the Centre of Excellence (COE) in the month of Feb 2019.The COE has plans to align its curriculum with the top industries from different stream of engineering to enable quality placements and meet industry expectations upfront. COE programmes helps to enhance the skill sets of students to meet the industry expectation.
Currently it houses the initiatives like CADD centre, Hydromatik, TUV Rhienland , Eduwings and other leading Industries in Pipeline.
LIBRARY
Library is located on the second floor of the College Building with its total floor area of 349.5 sq.mt. It has spacious Reading Room, Stack Room and Reference Section.
The library has over 610 reference books, 8862 Volumes and 4834 Titles related to Engineering, Architecture, Management, allied and general subjects. It subscribes to various print and online national and international Periodicals in the field of technology.
The Library strives to offer excellent service by acquiring, organizing and providing access to information resources. It provides reference service & current awareness service. Besides, it also has the Project Reports of various branches of Engineering , old Question Paper Sets and CD- Roms on different subjects and thus, supports learning and teaching.
The Books are classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification system. The Library is automated and is using ‘Koha’ software for its various functions.
The Principal and the staff of the college have also written study materials and text books to cater to the needs of the students.
Library is open from 9.00am to 5.30p.m from Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 2.00pm on Saturday.
Hostels:
Management runs separate hostels for boys and girls in the campus. Admissions are given to needy students on a nominal rent.We have a hostel on campus for girls and boys students of the College, which can accommodate more than 60 students with all the facilities for study, recreation and common living. The College Canteen serves subsidized meals and refreshments for hostelites and guests.
Canteen:
The canteen is situated within the college campus. It is open for all and there is a separate seating arrangement for staff & students . All types of snacks, soft drinks, meals are available at subsidized rates.The canteen is opens at 8 am up to 5.30 pm every day.
Bus Facility:
Institute provides bus facility to various locations in the City and Institute.
Sports, Culture & Recreation :
With a view to develop the all-round personality of the students the institute gives equal importance to curricular and extra curricular activities. It is the constant endeavour of the institute to see that the students grow intellectually as well as physically.
We take every effort to encourage our students to participate in various activities such as social, cultural and sports. Indoor game facilities like Table Tennis, carrom, chess,etc is provided.
Placement Cell:
Karnatak Law Society’s Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic, Belagavi opened up a placement cell in the year 2006-07. The Cell has been established to help students to start their own enterprise, or get jobs in many Public Sector Units, who come to Polytechnics, to hire Diploma holders of various branches.
Activities under placement cell: For the overall development of the students guest lectures/workshops/training programs are conducted for the improvement of soft-skills, personality development and communication skills.
