K L S’ Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic, Belgaum
- Year of Establishment : 1992 – Polytechnic for Women
- Year of conversion from Women’s Polytechnic to Co-education: 2000
- In the year 2000, appropriately the Institution was renamed as Shri Vasantrao Potdar Polytechnic to suit the co-educational status. Late Smt Ashabai Potdar, Belgaum made generous donations to the Institution, to name the Polytechnic in the memory of her husband, late Shri Vasantrao Potdar.
- Scholarships/ Free-ships available in the institution
- KLS topper award– This award is sponsored by Karnatak Law Society. The topper of VPP who has scored maximum marks in the final year is awarded as KLS topper.
- Saraswati Scholarships – This scholarship is given to female students by Shri. Ashwin Joshi and Shri. Kiran Ramchandani in the memory by Late. Shri Vamanrao Joshi(Member, KLS) and Late. Smt. Shanta Joshi.
- Endowment Prizes : In the year 2010, the staff of VPP came up with an idea to create an endowment fund to provide scholarship to the meritorious students of all departments.
- Shri. Anantrao Potdar scholarship : Shri Ajit Anantrao Potdar has announced scholarships for the students of Electronic & Commn Department, who score maximum marks in third year.
- Shri. Ganesh Rajadnya scholarship : Shri Ajit Anantrao Potdar has announced scholarships for the Best students of Electronic & Commn Department.
- Best Student Award: Looking into the extracurricular activities, good behavior and academics, this award is given to the best student of each department.
